The Expedition's Journey
A three-day program designed around discovery, flavors, and the pleasure of exploring extraordinary landscapes.

Day 1
From the Algarve mountains to the Alentejo interior
The expedition begins by winding through the lush Algarve hills, amidst traditional villages and panoramic views.
Traveling along roads in a prime birdwatching area, we toast to regional traditions and flavors at a local, traditional cheese workshop.

Day 2
Between plains, dams, and the Alentejo coast
Traversing open landscapes and country roads towards the coast, we approach the Alentejo Coast.
Along the way, we cross paths with history by visiting Roman ruins, and let our gaze rest upon the dam, where the landscape opens up and silence reigns.
Exploring the raw power of the Costa Vicentina, we pass by some of the wildest beaches, where the meeting of river, sea, and cliffs creates one of the region's most striking landscapes.

Day 3
Between the Costa Vicentina and the return to the Algarve
After visiting a Medronho distillery—an experience dedicated to one of southern Portugal's most distinctive traditions—we returned to Faro via scenic roads.
Arrival at Viceroy at Ombria, in Loulé, marks the conclusion of the expedition—with the handover of the vehicles—and the end of three days of adventure, scenery, flavors, and discovery spanning the southern interior, the Alentejo Coast, and the Vicentine Coast.

Eligibility to Drive |
Drivers must have a valid and legally recognized driver's license in Portugal, with at least 5 years of driving experience. DRIVEXPLORE® may refuse vehicle authorization if safety concerns arise. |

Physical Conditioning |
A normal level of physical fitness is recommended for active travel. Participants should be comfortable with road trips, light walking, exposure to inclement weather, and itinerary flow. |

Clothing and Equipment |
It is recommended to bring comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, waterproof gear, personal medication, and compact luggage. |

Baggage |
One checked bag weighing up to 23 kg, one carry-on bag, and one backpack per participant. |

Responsibility for Health |
Customers must report any medical conditions that may affect participation and complete the mandatory Health and Fitness Form. |

Travel Insurance |
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory, covering trip cancellation, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, civil liability, and repatriation. |
